How to Prepare for Your Delivery

Delivery Confirmation and Scheduling

  • Within 24 to 28 hours after your purchase, you will receive a call from our Delivery Operations Team to review your order details. Please make sure to answer this call to confirm the information so that we can ensure your delivery goes smoothly.
  • If all details are not confirmed during this call, your delivery will be rescheduled for the next available date.
  • You will receive all delivery information via email. Please have your sales order available to double-check all details.
  • Once your delivery schedule is finalized, we will send you a delivery window. While we consider your preferences, we cannot guarantee or promise specific delivery times. If the scheduled time does not work for you, contact the store immediately to reschedule for a more convenient time and date.
  • Drivers will call the provided number approximately 30 minutes before delivery. If this call is not answered, the drivers will move on and your delivery will be rescheduled for the next available date.

Winter Weather Deliveries

  • If your delivery is scheduled during a winter weather event, please make sure all pathways are cleared, salted, and sanded. If the delivery team determines the delivery is unsafe, it will be rescheduled for the next available date to give you time to properly prepare the pathways.
  • Delivery times may vary depending on driving conditions. Please be patient with our team. If we know of a delay, we will send a delay notification text to the cell number you provided.

Measuring and Pathways

  • Check all clearances and pathways to your home. Measure any staircases your appliance may need to go through or up and ensure that the appliance will fit.
  • If you are unsure whether your appliance will fit and are unable to measure, please let us know. We will do our best to help ensure a seamless delivery for you.
  • Our goal is to provide a seamless and successful delivery so you can enjoy your appliance for years to come. Please read these preparation guidelines to ensure you are fully ready for your delivery. If you have any questions about the delivery requirements, call the store and ask to speak with a manager about delivery instructions. We are here to help and have many ways to assist in making the appliance purchase and delivery process as easy as possible.

Refrigerator Delivery Preparation

  • Before your refrigerator delivery, remove all contents from the appliance.
  • Ensure that there is enough clearance for the refrigerator to fit through all necessary spaces. The delivery team cannot lift the appliance over a kitchen island or hoist it through a window.
  • If your refrigerator must go up a flight of stairs, please remove all railings before delivery. The delivery team does not modify your home and cannot remove railings, doors, or other fixtures that could prevent a smooth delivery.
  • Know the location of the shutoff for your water and ice hookups.
  • The delivery team will connect a water supply line to your new appliance after a safety inspection. This service requires a separate payment of $75, made directly to the delivery team. If the water line is deemed unsafe, you will be referred to the store, which can connect you with our plumber to install a new line (also a separate charge).

Range Delivery Preparation

Gas Ranges

  • Contact a plumber to disconnect the gas line from your current range if you wish to have your old range recycled.
  • If you use our plumber for installation, you must purchase a new gas connector kit for your range. These kits are for single use only and cannot be reused for safety reasons. New connection kits are available for $45.95 and will be delivered with your appliance.
  • Gas ranges are installed by a plumber, set in place, and leveled with an anti-tip bracket.
  • Using our plumber ensures a proper installation and makes it easier to resolve any issues that may arise.

Electric Ranges

  • Check the electrical requirements of your purchased range to ensure compatibility with your home.
  • You will have either a 3-prong or 4-prong cord. Please confirm which one you have so the correct cord can be attached during delivery.
  • Cords are not included with the range and must be purchased separately for $45.95 in order to be attached to your appliance.
  • Drivers do not install new anti-tip brackets, and leveling the appliance is the customer's responsibility.

Dishwasher Delivery Preparation

  • Dishwashers are installed by a plumber.
  • Using our plumber can save you a delivery charge. You will schedule the installation separately with the plumber using the contact information on your sales order. The plumber's fee is separate from Warrendale Appliance.
  • All new equipment (hoses, junction boxes, etc.) must be purchased to use our plumber’s services.
  • If you choose to use your own contractor, your old appliance must be uninstalled and ready for recycling by our team before the new appliance is delivered.

Laundry Appliance Delivery Preparation

  • Homeowners must check washer valves before delivery to ensure they are usable and not corroded. If the valves cannot be used, you will need to have them replaced by a plumber.
  • Electric dryers require either a 3-prong or 4-prong cord. Please know this information and confirm it during your confirmation call.
  • Gas dryers require installation by a licensed plumber. If you use our plumber, we will inform them of your delivery date; you must schedule disconnection directly with the plumber.
  • Ventilation can be connected by our delivery team for a separate fee of $45, paid directly to the team after a safety inspection of the existing vent.
  • Laundry appliance stacking requires a stacking bracket to secure the machines. If you have not purchased one, you will need it for installation. Please consult with a sales associate regarding which kit you need, and we will add it to your order.
